During last year's People of Progress Fundraising Raffle, I was very fortunate to be the winner of the Packers Bay houseboat vacation. Earlier this month my family and I enjoyed a wonderful four days on Lake Shasta. 

I want to share with you what truly terrific experience we had with all the staff at Packers Bay Marina. All the employees were very efficient, friendly and helpful. Everyone remained good natuired even when we became stuck and it was necessary to get another houseboat to tow us off the bank. In every instance we were impressed with the positive, professional attitude of all the personnel at Packers Bay. The next time we rent a houseboat, we will definitely go to Packers Bay Marina.

Thank you all for providing us with a terrific vacation on Lake Shasta. Thank you also for supporting the People of Progress so that they can continue to do so much for our community.

To the Staff at Packers Bay Marina,

My daughter and I just took a trip up to your resort to join good friends that rented a houseboat from you for the midweek. I just want you all to know from the minute we arrived (20 before 7:PM), your wonderful "service" was outstanding! Luckily we were able to get the gate unlocked so that we could unload and leave our car on "your" side of the gate. The very nice host greeted us with the golf cart and away we went. We came back to the marina a couple of times and it was so amazing how we were greeted with smiles and help. Just a note to let ya know your staff really seems to work as a "winning team!"

Keep up the great work...

To the Staff at Packers Bay Marina,

We just returned from an awesome trip on beautiful Lake Shasta! We've been houseboating almost every year since the late 1970's and find Lake Shasta is one of our favorites.

We are writing specifically to thank the amazing staff at Packers Bay Marina! The customer service we encountered there was the BEST WE HAVE EVER experienced on any lake or marina!!! Everyone was so helpful and friendly each time we pulled in.

Brian was kind enough to let us borrow his own personal kayak for the week! Everyone who worked on the dock had the most upbeat and motivated attitudes. They were right there to take care of things when we came in for fuel or just to pick up ice. They were ready to help tie up our ski boat too. Their friendly attitude meant everything! The shuttle driver was even funny and friendly.

We had stopped in to four other marinas along the journey, and not a single one came close to the service and friendliness of the Packers Bay staff! They could all use customer service training by the Packers Bay management. We werre amazed (sometimes upset) by the poor attitude and lack of motivation at the other marinas - apparently they employed the customer No-service rule.

When on Lake Shasta we will only rent houseboats from Packers Bay!

I just wanted to thank you for a wonderful week on your houseboat. We have rented houseboats for the past twenty three years on Shasta Lake. I have never come across a more professional. thorough and thoughtful group of folks in all those years. Your boat was the cleanest, best maintained boat I have rented. Your employees were extremely proficient, friendly and helpful. We will never rent from anyone other than Packers Bay again. See you in August for our second trip this summer.

Hi!, I just had to write and tell you how happy we are once again with your employees, the service and the houseboats. We had a problem with our ski boat, and your mechanic fixed the problem and did not charge us for it at all! Mind you, the temp. outside was a hot 106,but he fixed the problem. We always rent our houseboats from you and as long as you are in business we always will. Thanks for a great experience and a wonderful vacation! You will see us next year.

We recently came home from our houseboating trip with Packer's Bay. This was our ninth trip renting houseboat from Packer's Bay. I have to commend you on having the cleanest and best running boats on the lake. We have looked at all the rental companies on the lake and have rented from some of them in the past. From our first year renting with you we knew we had found the gold on the lake. It is so comforting to know each year when we come that the boat will be spotless and in tip top shape. Dear Packers Bay,                 
We have booked houseboats with you several times over the years and we have always had excellent service. One year we called to say we may be arriving quite late due to severe car trouble we were having. After assuring us that we would at least be able to sleep on our houseboat in the harbor no matter what time we arrived, when we did arrive we were given 2 bottles of wine and the kids got free t-shirts since our boat was not quite ready. After a long, tiring day trying to get there despite all of our car problems, this great treatment really did make us feel better!

Dear Packers Bay,
We are very excited for our trip with Packers Bay. This is our 6th time to Shasta Lake, our only mistake was not booking with you earlier - we were very impressed with the conditions of the boat and with the ease of loading and unloading compared to where we had been before. We were out of the inlet, vacationing, in less than 1 HOUR! WOW! It used to take us 3-4 hours to unload the cars into the houseboat and get checked out.
